Frequently Asked Questions
What is remote online notarization (RON)?
Remote online notarization allows you to meet with a commissioned notary via secure video call, verify your identity, and sign your documents, all without leaving your home. It's fast, legal, and secure.
What do I need to get started?
You’ll need:
A valid, unexpired government-issued photo ID
A strong internet connection
A device with audio/video capabilities (desktop/laptop preferred)
Your unsigned document(s), ready to upload
Who can use your notary services?
I notarize documents for clients located in Florida and for individuals in Connecticut, Louisiana, Missouri, Montana, New Jersey, New York, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Utah, Virginia, and Wyoming. If you're outside of Florida, it's your responsibility to confirm your receiving institution accepts Florida-authorized remote notarized documents.
How does your pricing work?
My pricing is designed to be clear, fair, and aligned with Florida notary law. Here’s the breakdown:
Base Notarization: $25 (covers 1 document and 1 signer only)
+ $10 per additional document
+ $5 per additional signer
+ $5 if a witness is needed and provided by the client
+ $10 if a witness is needed and sourced by Anne For You, LLC
Learn more here. If your signing includes more than 5 documents, 2 signers, or 2 witnesses, please email me with the details to receive a custom quote.
Note on witnesses:
All witnesses must be 18 years or older.
It is the client’s responsibility to ensure that any witness they provide is legally qualified to act as a witness to their document. I cannot confirm witness eligibility or offer legal advice regarding who may serve as a witness. If you are unsure, please consult an attorney.
Can I use a passport as ID?
Yes, valid U.S. and many international passports, as well as unexpired government-issued State ID card, Real ID card, or Driver's License are acceptable forms of ID. The identity verification system will walk you through the process.
Can I schedule a same-day RON session?
Yes! If there’s availability, I’m happy to accommodate same-day requests at no extra charge. For urgent or time-sensitive notarizations, reach out via WhatsApp for the fastest response.
Are you insured?
Yes! As a Florida Remote Online Notary, I’m fully bonded and carry errors & omissions (E&O) insurance. This protects both you and me by covering any rare, unintentional mistakes during the notarization process. My commission and insurance are up-to-date and comply with all Florida state requirements for RON services.
Are you an attorney? Can you help me understand my documents?
No, I’m not an attorney and cannot provide legal advice or explain the contents of your documents. If you have legal questions or need help understanding what you’re signing, it’s best to speak with a licensed attorney before booking your session.
Do you notarize wills or estate planning documents?
Yes, as long as Florida law permits online notarization for the document type. Some estate planning documents may require in-person notarization or witnesses physically present. It is your responsibility to confirm with an attorney ahead of time if an online notarization is or is not legally valid for your needs. All information is stored using secure, encrypted systems, and only authorized parties can access it.
How long will you retain my documents and the session recording?
Florida law requires that all remote online notaries securely retain both the electronic journal of your notarization and the full audio-video recording of our session for at least 10 years. This includes your name, address, the type of notarization, how your ID was verified, and everything said or done during the session.
All information is stored using secure, encrypted systems, and only authorized parties may request access to those records. If you need a copy of your notarization record or session recording in the future, you can contact me directly.
This information is provided for general understanding and does not constitute legal advice. If you have questions about your rights or how your notarized document will be treated by a third party, please consult a licensed attorney.
Do you offer loan signings or mortgage closings?
Not yet. I'm in the process of completing my loan signing certification. If you’d like to be notified when that service becomes available, let me know; I’d love to work with you when the time comes!
Do I need to dress up for my notarization?
Nope! Pajamas are fine, as long as your face is clearly visible and your photo identification matches your appearance, you're good to go. This is a judgment-free zone.
